Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori's Olivier Award-winning musical runs at the Minerva Theatre in May as part of Daniel Evans' first season as artistic director of Chichester Festival Theatre. The piece follows a black maid in Louisiana in the '60s as she helps to bring up the 8 year-old son of her employers. The show is directed by Michael Longhurst and stars Sharon D. Clarke in the title role.
